Bocking 14 Comfrey Root Cuttings
Comfrey root cuttings are 2-3" each. Once planted, each root cutting will become one full size Bocking 14 Comfrey plant.
Sterile and noninvasive. A permaculture powerhouse! Bocking 14 Comfrey is infamous for being an excellent dynamic accumulator (a plant that mines deeper soil for nutrients and stores them in its leaves, generally speaking) and "chop 'n drop" mulch plant. We cut ours back to the ground about three times per year and disperse the cut leaves around all of our keystone species to break down as fertilizer over time. Plus, it's an incredible pollinator attractor! The bees and butterflies love its purple bell shaped flowers.
Comfrey also has incredible medicinal properties, we use a salve made from it everytime we get any sort of skin injury or issue. If you have livestock, comfrey is high in protein and is a great addition to their feed.
