Cold hardy down to 0 degrees F and heat tolerant to boot! The Champanel Grape is a vigorous, heavy-bearing vine that thrives where other grapes struggle — standing up to the brutal heat, humidity, and Pierce's Disease pressure of the American South with remarkable resilience. The berries are medium-sized, dark purple-black, and produced in generous clusters. The flavor is rich with a deep, wild-grape character that makes outstanding juice, jelly, and homemade wine. Developed in Texas in the late 1800s, Champanel has earned its place as one of the most dependable grape varieties for hot, humid climates. Slip-skin, small seeds.

Arrives well-rooted in a 3.5” x 9” pot.
