Beautiful AND native! The Eastern Redbud is a beloved deciduous tree known for its stunning spring blooms, heart-shaped leaves, and graceful form. Native to North America, this ornamental tree is a favorite in landscapes for its vibrant, early-season flowers and attractive foliage. Its role in providing habitat and food for wildlife, as well a improving soil and air quality makes it an important and supremely useful tree. Nitrogen-fixing. Parts of the tree are also edible! Add flowers and flower buds to salads, breads and pancakes. They have a slightly sour taste, high in vitamin C. Young pods may be eaten raw, boiled or sauteed. 

Arrives well rooted in a 3.5 x 9 inch deep treepot.
