A unique and resilient pomegranate variety, Afganski is prized for its cold hardiness, adaptability, and heavy fruit production. Unlike many pomegranate varieties that thrive only in hot, arid climates, Afganski is known to perform well in the Southeastern U.S. and other regions with colder winters.

This variety produces medium to large, deep red fruits with jewel-like arils that are sweet-tart and packed with antioxidants. Beyond its delicious fruit, the plant itself is highly ornamental, with glossy green leaves and brilliant orange-red blossoms in summer that attract pollinators.
