Celeste Fig
🌿 Ships well rooted in a 3.5 x 9 inch deep tree pot. May arrive dormant and without leaves/foliage December through April.
The Celeste Fig (Ficus carica 'Celeste') is one of the most beloved fig varieties for Southern growers. Known as the “sugar fig,” it produces abundant, medium-sized fruit with light brown to violet skin and a rich, honey-sweet flavor. Its closed eye (small, tight fruit opening) makes the fruit more resistant to souring and pests compared to many other fig varieties.
This variety is also prized for its cold hardiness, reliably producing crops even in regions where other figs may struggle. With its compact growth habit, Celeste is well-suited for home orchards, backyard growers, and even container gardening.
