The Italian Honey / White Marseilles Fig produces abundant crops of medium-sized, yellow-green figs with a luscious, amber-colored flesh that has a rich, honey-like flavor. The flavor is predominantly sweet, with notes of brown sugar, melons, and honey, along with a hint of figginess. “Closed eye” when ripe; helps resist splitting and souring which is perfect for humid climates. This variety is the first to ripen here in Zone 8. These figs are green/yellow when they ripen which helps a LOT to hide them from birds!
